About Us
Honey Lake Community TV Corp. is a not-for-profit organization that is contracted with Lassen County to provide translator services to County Service Area #1 and has been receiving, translating and rebroadcasting TV signals to the Honey Lake Valley since about 1950.
Before cable and satellite TV signals were available, the TV translator system was the only means to provide TV reception for the residents of the Valley. Today, many valley residents support HLTV so that they can receive over-the-air programming, while some others continue to support HLTV so that those without satellite or cable service can receive TV over the air.
Honey Lake TV is supported by a $25 yearly fee on property parcels and a $10 per apartment unit located in County Service Area #1. To make sure that this valuable service to our community is available to you, contact the Lassen County Assessor's Office and inquire to make sure you are currently paying the small yearly fee. In these tough economic times it’s good to know you can get news and entertainment on all the major networks on television without paying hundreds of dollars per month.
Honey Lake TV is made up of Lassen County residents who care about providing the best of digital television to our viewers in Lassen County. We are always looking for additional good, wholesome family programming for our viewers and thank those who share our belief that quality television programming should be available to all…over the air and affordable.
